Transformation Programme – Network Redesign

As part of a Council drive to cost cutting Transformation Project, our client agreed a new Telco agreement with Virgin to install new circuits to all sites within the authority and this included Corporate and Education.

This created lots of challenging issues due to landscape and existing network design and implementation making it almost impossible to deliver a resilient solution without full scale redesign.

As part of the overall scope there was Scotland first agreement with shared services site in Kirkintilloch for the use of NHS Glasgow and the clients Social Services new build. From the ground up we carried out the scoping, the build from cabling runs, Comms room locations and power distribution. This was to server shared services with new VOIP and Wireless solutions that could service Corporate, NHS and public users.

IVARTY Consulting were appointed as the SMEs in this space and worked with an open remit to make services better where possible and working with Council, partners and NHS Glasgow we achieved this.

We delivered on all counts for the Network delivery and redesign into the Corporate and Education areas meaning resilience in setup and reduced costs but mainly a technology uplift in their respective areas.
Responsible for delivering network audit in line with Telco solution purchased and tried to fit that into the existing setup.
