IVARTY Consulting are proud to announce on the 11th March 2025 we been accredited and joined Scotland Against Modern Slavery (SAMS).

Slavery has no place in our society. Tragically, there has been an alarming rise in the number of victims identified across Scotland in recent years. Humans are being exploited and traded as commodities, and this is happening right in our midst.

Victims have now been found in every local authority area in Scotland, and this suffering encompasses people of all ages and nationalities. In 2019, the vast majority of slavery victims rescued in the UK were British. Current statistics suggest that one in four victims is a child and 70% of all victims are female.

Scotland Against Modern Slavery exists to help eradicate the atrocity of human trafficking and raise awareness across the Scottish business community of this evil trade.

SAMS incorporates a range of partners, sharing a vast array of experience in tackling this terrible issue head-on. As a proud, collective group, we will assist you with advice, training and, of course, victim support.

Our Corporate Partner group has representation and regular participation within the Scottish Government’s Human Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy Team. Each of us has an appointed ambassador whose remit is to take a lead role within their respective organisations, delivering the Team strategy, ensuring they exemplify best practice and generating awareness of modern slavery to their stakeholders and other businesses across Scotland.

We are thoroughly committed to sharing good practice and intelligence across the corporate sector, and to assisting victims in Scotland by finding them sustainable work and helping them to become survivors.

Mary McLuskey, co-founder & partner at IVARTY Consulting said - "We are proud to be an accredited, active partner that forms the Scotland Against Modern Slavery Movement and we commit to playing our part in eradicating human trafficking and modern slavery which we deem to be a crime against humanity."
