
Digital Upgrade - TRAKCARE
As part of a major digital upgrade, our Scottish NHS client required assistance to manage third-party vendors and support the internal project team to upgrade their TRAKCARE systems.
Working with the Health Board’s digital delivery team, we deployed a team of Subject Matter Experts who created a structured project plan, PMRO for governance to manage the upgrade.
Our team scoped out the full PMRO process, ensuring that at all stages, it is in line with the wider Board’s decision-making governance structures. In so doing, work was undertaken to produce the following:
* Highlight Reports which were BRAG rated throughout the life of the project
* Detailed Project Plan Incorporating Risks, Dependencies, Assumptions, Issues
* Cost-benefit analysis
* Cut Over Plan
* Closure Report
* Caldicott Approvals for Data Transfers
* Interoperability mapping of all dependent IT systems
* Structured Communications Strategy for the Upgrade
The work was recognised by the Board as an excellent example of how effective governance and decision-making can help implement a complex change programme while saving money and enabling business as usual to operate during times of change.
