National Green Standard
Service Description
Finally, we made sustainability credible and visible. Using the National Green Standard, we baselined ESG maturity with the NGS Starter Questionnaire and a guided evidence review that respected people’s time. The independent score translated quickly into a prioritised improvement plan aligned to the UN Global Goals and the realities of Scottish Housing Associations.
Because NGS complements governance, delivery, and risk, actions were placed into the live portfolio with owners, funding, and benefits. Certification provided external validation for bids and regulators, and the badge and statement were added to the website and tender templates. Reporting templates—ready for Scope 1, Scope 2, and where appropriate, Scope 3—reduced the burden of disclosures.
We brought a self-contained ESG product that integrates cleanly with transformation. The independent NGS framework, audit, and certification created credibility from day one. We started with the NGS Starter Questionnaire and a guided evidence review, then used the NGS Playbook and sector toolkits—energy, waste, procurement, and social value—to shape a practical plan.
Sector-specific packs for Housing Associations and public bodies anchored the narrative in local expectations and UN Global Goals alignment. Our service wrapped baseline assessment, gap analysis, improvement roadmap, and pre-audit readiness into one motion, then managed certification through to the award itself. We delivered a Baseline Scorecard, an Improvement Plan with owners, costs, and benefits, an audit evidence pack, and the certification badge and statement for tenders and the website, plus reporting templates that simplified Scope 1, 2, and, where relevant, 3 disclosures.
Summary: IVARTY’s independent NGS certification makes ESG progress credible and tender-ready. We baseline quickly, prioritise what matters, and secure.
